Why Mera Khet

Food should never
be a mystery.

Today, we often don't know what goes into the food we eat. Where was it grown? Who grew it? What was added to it? What process did it go through before reaching our plate?

Mera Khet exists to answer those questions. You should know exactly where your food comes from, how it is grown, and what it goes through before it reaches your home.

Because even if food is expensive, if it isn't healthy and trustworthy, it still isn't good food.

Food is one of the most important parts of our lives. When it affects our health, our families and our future, we deserve to know its complete journey — from soil to plate.

I come from a farmer family. Farming has always been part of my roots. But like many families, my generation slowly moved away from agriculture — and today there is almost nothing left of farming in our generation.

So I decided to go back to my roots.

More Than Better Food

We also want to reconnect the next generation with farming and the people behind our food — so children understand where their food actually comes from, how crops are grown, how much effort goes into farming, and why farmers matter so much to this country.

As our Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi has often highlighted, farmers are an important backbone of our nation.

Mera Khet is a way of returning to farming, bringing transparency back to our food, creating a connection between people and the land, and keeping respect for farmers alive for the next generation.

From our soil to your plate — you should know your food.

From land to harvest.

This Season

Right now, we grow one crop — and grow it well.

Mera Khet is focused on a single seasonal crop at a time, so our team can give it full attention from field prep to harvest.

Gehu

Wheat

Our upcoming season crop. Wheat is sown just after Diwali and grown through the cooler Rabi months, well suited to Sujangarh's soil and winter climate.

Seed Variety — RAJ 1482

We're growing the RAJ 1482 variety this season — developed at the Rajasthan Agricultural Research Institute, Durgapura, and specifically recognized among Indian wheat researchers for its grain quality rather than yield alone. It's a variety commonly sought out for roti and chapati making.

Bred for Rajasthan's conditions
Developed at Durgapura specifically for local soil and climate, not adapted from elsewhere.
Known for roti & chapati quality
A variety millers and households specifically seek out for soft, pliable chapatis — not just a general-purpose wheat.
Whole wheat, milled whole
Milled with the bran and germ intact, so it naturally retains more fiber, iron, and B-vitamins than refined flour.
Soil-tested, not guessed
We've sent our soil for laboratory testing so future crop and nutrient decisions are based on what our land actually needs — not assumption.

This isn't about any farmer or seller doing anything wrong — most food changes hands too many times for anyone to trace it back. Mera Khet just skips that: it's your plot, so there's nothing to trace.

Your Harvest

Your harvest, your choice.

When your crop is ready, choose how you'd like to receive it — every crop grown using natural farming practices.

What Happens After Harvest

1. Weighed & confirmed

Your harvest is weighed at the field and your confirmed total is recorded against your membership.

2. Quality checked

Checked before it moves to delivery, processing, or market sale — whichever you've chosen.

3. Stored on-site

Held in our own 30-tonne warehouse at the farm — not left in the field or handed to a third party while it waits.

4. Your choice applied

Delivered raw, milled into flour, or sold to market on your behalf — one delivery or monthly installments, in 15/30/50 kg bags.

5. Delivered in 2–3 weeks

Your harvest typically reaches you 2–3 weeks after harvest, depending on location. Every delivery is logged on your dashboard with date and quantity.

Every plot receives an equal share of the season's total harvest — so no member carries a weaker patch of the field alone.

Raw Harvest

Deliver to My Home

We deliver your harvest straight to your doorstep, exactly as it came off your plot — all at once, or split into monthly installments if you'd rather receive it gradually. Packed in 15 kg, 30 kg or 50 kg bags.

📅 One-time or monthly installments

Typically reaches you 2–3 weeks after harvest, depending on your location. Delivery charges are billed separately based on distance.

Flour / Oil

Process & Deliver

We process your harvest into flour or oil — for example, wheat milled into fresh atta — then deliver it to you, either as a single delivery or in monthly installments. Packed in the same 15 kg, 30 kg or 50 kg bags.

📅 One-time or monthly installments

Typically reaches you 2–3 weeks after harvest, depending on your location. Processing is done in small batches per crop.

We Handle the Sale

Sell to the Market

We sell your harvest to the market on your behalf and send the proceeds to you.

Amount depends on prevailing market rates at the time of sale — not guaranteed in advance.

See Everything

You don't have to take our word for it.

Cameras on the field, live crop stage, and regular updates — so you can watch your season happen instead of wondering about it.

What does a “plot allocation” mean?

Your Mera Khet membership gives you a contractual allocation of, and participation in, a designated area of farm plots (1, 3, or 6 plots — each plot 7,260 sq ft), according to the terms of your membership agreement.

We do not claim, promise, or imply:

  • Guaranteed returns
  • Guaranteed crop yield or wheat quantity
  • Guaranteed profits
  • Legal ownership of agricultural land

unless those rights are explicitly provided under your final signed legal agreement. Wheat quantities shown for each plan (250–300 / 750–900 / 1,500–1,800 kg) are typical-yield estimates, not commitments.

Agriculture is seasonal and subject to weather, soil conditions, pests, water availability and other natural factors.

Every plot at Mera Khet is cultivated using natural farming practices — no synthetic pesticides or chemical fertilizers are used. We're currently in our first season and in the transition period toward formal organic certification; we'll update this once certification is obtained.

Who Runs Mera Khet

Mera Khet is operated by MK Farms, based in Sujangarh, Rajasthan. Every membership is governed by the real, readable documents below — not just this summary.

This Is Our First Season

We won't show you photos of a previous harvest, because there isn't one yet. What we can offer instead is full operational transparency from day one — camera access, farm updates, and a real dashboard tracking your specific plots — so you see this season unfold as it actually happens, rather than take our word for a past one. Early members are effectively founding members of Mera Khet.

Questions, answered.
