HomeOur Wheat

Wheat you can traceback to the field.

Most flour arrives with no story at all. Ours comes with a variety name, a soil test, a camera, and a warehouse you can visit. Here's what's actually in your atta.

RAJ 1482

Developed at the Rajasthan Agricultural Research Institute, Durgapura — for this region's soil and climate.

01 — The Variety

Chosen for the roti, not just the yield.

RAJ 1482 is recognised among Indian wheat researchers for its grain quality rather than yield alone. It's a variety millers and households specifically seek out for soft, pliable chapatis — not a general-purpose wheat.

We sow it near Diwali and grow it through the cooler Rabi months, which suit Sujangarh's soil and winter climate.

01

Bred for Rajasthan's conditions

Developed at Durgapura specifically for local soil and climate, not adapted from elsewhere.

02

Known for roti & chapati quality

A variety millers and households specifically seek out for soft, pliable chapatis — not just a general-purpose wheat.

03

Whole wheat, milled whole

Milled with the bran and germ intact, so it naturally retains more fiber, iron, and B-vitamins than refined flour.

04

Tested every month

Soil-tested before sowing, with the farm's test results shared with every member each month — and no harmful chemicals used to push yield.

02 — Compared Honestly

Food should neverbe a mystery.

This isn't a claim that other wheat is bad. It's about what you can know — and what you usually can't.

03 — Storage & Milling

From our warehouse, not a contract mill.

After harvest, your share is stored in our own 30-tonne warehouse and milled and packaged in-house — never sent out to a third party.

Stored under our roof

Your share waits in our own 30-tonne warehouse until it's time to mill it — not sold off and bought back later.

Milled and packed in-house

Both milling and packaging happen on our own farm, on our own equipment — no contract miller in between.

Whole atta, freshly milled

Milled close to your delivery date, bran and germ still in it — see exactly what that means below.

Whole atta: bran, endosperm and germ all milled together — the way Mera Khet mills it.

04 — Milled Whole

The whole grain, not two-thirds of it.

Every wheat kernel has three parts. Refined flour keeps only the starchy centre. Our atta is milled with all three left in — switch the toggle to see what refining takes away.

  • BranThe outer layer, where most of the fibre is.
  • EndospermThe starchy centre — the only part refined flour keeps.
  • GermThe seed's embryo, rich in natural oils and vitamins.
05 — Soil & Organic

What we do — andwhat we won't claim.

What we do

No shortcuts for yield.

We don't use harmful chemicals or anything else just to push the yield up. Fertiliser follows our soil test results — applied to the crop's actual need, not by routine or habit.

Every member gets the farm's test results every month on their dashboard, so you can check what's going into the field yourself.

Not yet

Is it organic?

Not yet, and we won't claim otherwise. For the next wheat season, we're planning to farm 100% organically.

We'll only call it certified organic once we actually hold the certificate — not a day before.

Grow your own this season.
